Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel has announced that its latest smartphone called the Go Play is now available for purchase for only $199.99 with a free case included in the box.

In terms of the specifications, The Alcatel Go Play features a 5-inch display screen which makes use of a 1280 x 720 resolution. On board, the Go Play smartphone is equipped with 2GB of RAM and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor that clocked at 1.5 GHz. The device comes with a built-in internal storage of 16 GB as standard, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card.

On the camera, the device sports an 8-megapixel rear camera paired with a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. In addition, the handset is fueled with a 2,500 mAh capacity battery and supports water and dust resistant - with an IP67 rating. The smartphone is running on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box.

Meanwhile, there are two main selling points for Alcatel's latest handset. The first is its design, the Go Play was made to be more durable handset. Not to mention, Alcatel is also selling a number of ruggedized cases specifically designed for the Go Play to offer a greater level of protection. The cases are available in different colors. The other notable selling point is that this is an affordable phone as Alcatel has the Go Play up for sale for only $199.99 as an unlocked model.

In addition, Alcatel is also throwing in a free ruggedized case for good measure. Along with free shipping for any purchases of the device made in the month of March.
