Emmy Awards 2014, the top television awards presentation in the world, has got the red carpet rolling for Monday's 66th edition featuring Seth Meyers as host and a Robin Williams tribute presented by good friend Billy Crystal.

An estimated 600 million people will be watching worldwide. The show begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. and is expected to last three hours. Held at downtown Los Angeles' Nokia theater, it's being broadcast live on NBC-TV. Don Mischer executive produces the extravaganza that generally surprises and always entertains.

Robin Williams' tribute will be a "proper and meaningful remembrance," Mischer said with Crystal putting together a heart-felt personal tribute. The segment will touch on the impact Williams made on people. Sara Bareilles is scheduled to provide a moving musical tribute. The tribute will anchor the traditional In Memoriam segment.

HBO's "Game of Thrones" looks to have a big day. The sprawling fantasy leads the room with 19 Emmy nomination. "Fargo" from FX closely follows with 18 nominations. "American Horror Story" on FX has 17 nominations. Rounding out leading contenders are "The Normal Heart," an HBO movie, and "Breaking Bad" that just finished its final season on AMC with 16 nominations each.

Several races look to be going down to the wire. "Orange is the New Black" on Netflix appears locked in a tight race with perennial comedy category winner ABC's "Modern Family." The ABC show has won the last four years. "Orange" would become the first streaming-only hit to win an Emmy.

The main event as far as tight races, however, appears to be in the drama category. HBO's top dog in the hunt, the critically lauded "True Detective." is battling it out with perennial winner "Breaking Bad."

Televised coverage begins with "Live from the Red Carpet" on E!. Ross Matthews and Giuliana Rancic host with Kelly Osbourne and Kristin Dos Santos handling the fashion police segments. E! will shine its "Mani Cam" and "Glam Cam" again during coverage with the all-new "Clutch Cam" dissecting celebrity purse choices.

For those not getting enough fashion policing, stay tuned on Tuesday as the inimitable Joan Rivers goes at it with a special "Fashion Police" show at 8 p.m. ET/PT on E!. Osbourne, Rancic and George Kotsiopoulos join the fashion fun.
