Chinese smartphone manufacturer Alcatel has released its latest device called the OneTouch X1 and it has received good reviews from consumers because of its affordable price and impressive specification.

The Alcatel Onetouch X1 is the latest mid-range smartphone from the company. The device has a price tag  of less than Dh1,000 ($272.26). The device can compete head-to-head against the Huawei's Honor 5X, the OnePlus X and the Samsung Galaxy A5.

In terms of the design, the OneTouch X1 resembles the Apple's iPhone 4. The device's body is 6.7 mm thick and sports a smooth Gorilla glass back, with a smooth metallic trim around the edges. The handset also features a premium design but it does not come with a premium price tag.

With regards to the specification of the device, the Alcatel OneTouch X1 smartphone features a 5-inch display screen equipped with Amoled technology similar to the OnePlus X. The device is powered by Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A7 Mediatek MT6589 processor paired with PowerVR SGX544 graphic processing unit on board.

In terms of the camera, the handset sports a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and 5-megapixel selfie snapper. The smartphone runs on Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean operating system and is fueled by a non-removable Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery.

Other features of the X1 smartphone include GSM/HSPA Connectivity, Accelerometer, proximity and compass. The smartphone comes in different colors including Blue, Black, Red, and Yellow.
