Flappy Bird Sequel, Swing Copters, is "Easier" to Play; Check It Out

"Swing Copters," the sequel to the addictive game, Flappy Bird, is every bit as difficult and as addictive as the first game.

There is, however, an updated Swing Copters version released Aug. 26 that's less difficult and less impossible than the original.

Swing Copters has been around for only a week. It hasn't been quite as successful as Flappy Bird, however.

That seems to be because gamers are frustrated at having another impossibly difficult game they can't beat.

Swing Copters involves one character, a helicopter guy wearing a propeller-driven helmet. All a player has to do is to keep this guy airborne.

But the game is so tough and the margin for error so small that defeat was the consistent result from playing the game..

When Swing Copters launched on iOS and Android devices, the game gained notoriety as one of the most difficult mobile games ever made.

According to Dong Nguyen, creator of the game, the current highest score has remained at 77 since the game debuted on Aug. 21. Nguyen then decided to tweak the game so people can score higher.

His update makes a character's movements more controllable. This reduces the chances of being defeated early in the game.

The game is still a lot difficult but the difficulty has been lowered a notch. Those who've already played the updated game said getting a score of 10 points is possible in the first two tries as compared to the first version.

The game has topped the iOS App Store's ranking since last week. That's because the hype surrounding the game's difficulty made people check it out, download it, play it and comment on it.

Version 1.1 of Swing Copters is still available at the App Store for iPhones and iPads.
