Microsoft's Xbox One backwards compatibility feature got a major boost, as developers threw their support behind the update which is taking the gaming world by storm.

Alexandre Migeon, project manager for "Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders," said that he wanted to see more backwards compatibility options available not only on the Xbox One but on all gaming consoles as well, according to the Express.

"Being gamers ourselves, we would love to see real full backward compatibility for every brand," Migeon said.

He noted that "Microsoft is trying hard to improve the brand image since the start of the Xbox One," with the release of its backwards compatibility feature.

"Let's hope backward compatibility will be soon available for most of the fantastic 360 games launched this last decade and that the hard work will be appreciated by gamers," he added.

In the meantime, Xbox One players will have to wait until end of this month for the roll out of the latest backwards compatibility update.

In a recent Xbox Spring showcase, Xbox Director of Program Management Mike Ybarra announced that the March update "would probably not arrive until the end of the month."

Preview members will have an advantage, as they will have the chance to try out the latest backwards compatibility features ahead of everyone, as they will have access to  the new Xbox One Backward Compatibility store.

"Instead of having to go to Xbox.com or boot up their 360, they'll be able to do [it] this way [Through the Xbox Store]," Ybarra explained.

"It will only stock backward compatible games on Xbox One," he added.

According to news reports, gamers continue to discover new titles online that will soon be available on the Xbox One via its backwards compatibility feature.

Some of the latest games spotted include "Crackdown," "Crackdown 2," "Mass Effect 3" and "Bomberman Live."

Developer BioWare has also already confirmed a number of games that will soon be playable through Xbox One's backwards compatibility.
