San Antonio has won 34 consecutive games played at home to open the season. The Spurs are only three games behind with the Chicago Bulls, who has won 37 straight wins during their historic 72-win 1995-96 season. The Gregg Popovich-led team has surpassed Orlando Magic's record of 33 successive victories.

Veteran point guard Tony Parker scored 18 points and dished out a season-high 16 assists while Patty Mills and Tim Duncan added with 17 and 11 points, respectively, for the Spurs, who won its 43rd straight home game overall, dating back March last year.

"I love playing with (Aldridge)," said Parker, who went 7 for 13 from the field and perfect 4 for 4 from the foul line.

"I know exactly where he's going to be. It's funny because even if he hits five shots in a row, (defenders) are still staying with me. I'm like, 'Go to LaMarcus. Go guard him.' They still give him that wide open shots. He got a lot of shots tonight. L.A. is feeling more and more comfortable with the system."

The Spurs are leading  by a basket at the half time 56-54 before they pounded the Trail Blazers with a 39-24 run and end the third period with a comfortable 17-point lead 95-78 entering the final quarter of the game.

San Antonio's big lead allows the team to sit its starters for much of the final twelve minutes in advance of a supremacy showdown with the Golden State on Saturday.

C.J. McCollum finished the game with 26 points and Damian Lillard scored 23 for Portland, who lost two games straight.
