More information about the HP Stream is circulating around the Internet now, providing customers with a better look of what the HP Chromebook will be like. Here is a comparison of the two devices.

The HP Chromebook 11 is currently the more popular Chromebook on the market. Google's Chromebook site features this device on its first page, showing that it comes with the best features for its price tag. The Chromebook 11 is a model that shows how important Chromebooks are on the market.

Meanwhile, the Chromebook 14 and Stream 14 have almost identical internal features even if the devices are very different software-wise. Chromebooks are particularly prominent with students because of its very cheap price and easy features. But that prominence may turn a different direction now that the Stream 14 is on the way with a price of only $199, similar to most Chromebooks.

The Chromebook 14 and Stream 14 have the same 14-inch 1366 x 768 pixel display with 2GB of RAM. The devices also offer the same number of ports, although Stream 14 has double the internal memory. It has 32 GB and 64 GB compared to Chromebook 14's 16 GB. Microsoft also offers 200 GB of free cloud storage for two years.

Recent reports claim that Microsoft wants to slow the sales growth of the Chromebook. It is allegedly working with HP to offer a new Chromebook substitute that runs Windows 8.1. This is a good opportunity for Stream 14, designed to be simple and lightweight, to compete in the same Chromebook market sector.

The Stream 14 is also reportedly more powerful than the Chromebook, with it being powered by a 1.6GHz quad core AMD chip, as opposed to the Chromebook 14's 1.4GHz Intel Celeron processor. The Stream 14 is also said to beat the Chromebook 14 in price. The former costs $199, $80 less expensive than the Chromebook 14.
