The Mirror reported that "the Chilean midfielder only moved to Bavaria last summer in a £28 million deal, but Bayern officials could cash in if the offer is right", which said to had boosted the chances of last season's Premier League winners to sign the 28-year-old at the end of the season.

Conte had won three Italian Serie A trophies with Vidal as his number one player from the 2011-2012 season to 2013-2014 before he resigned as Juve manager and moved to coach Gli Azzurri to be replaced by Massimiliano Allegri.

Vidal, as expected, is loyal and enthusiastic about a possible reunion with Conte this summer, saying that "I have always said if I go to war I would take Conte with me. We will see what happens" during a recent interview.

The 5-foot-11 Santiago, Chile native has appeared in 25 of Bayern's 27 domestic top flight games this season, scoring two times in his first season with the Allianz Arena residents. He has played in 36 games in all competitions for Pep Guardiola's squad and have accumulated three goals in total.

Meanwhile, Caught Offside noted that Der FCB "would be willing to sell" Vidal "only a year after signing him" from Juve.

Conte is said to be planning to make Vidal the centerpiece of Chelsea's new and improved midfield as the Blues' incumbent midfielders Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic had "declining influence" this season.

Chelsea is currently at the 10th spot of the 2015-2016 Premier League table, a long 25 points away from potential champions Leicester City in the overall standings, after winning the whole thing last season under Jose Mourinho.
