China's bid to be part of the upcoming FIFA World Cup has become even more possible as its list of potential sponsors gets longer.

In a press conference on Monday, Wanda Group's chair Wang Jianlin revealed that the opportunity for the country to be in the next international soccer match is just within reach.

"Chances of China entering the World Cup will become brighter with more Chinese companies becoming FIFA's sponsors," he said.

This means that apart from Wanda Group, two more Chinese companies have pledged to become sponsors for the FIFA World Cup, wherein China is keen about becoming a part of.

"As far as I know, if everything goes smoothly, another two Chinese companies will become FIFA's top level sponsors this year," he added.

However, no further details were shared.

It was noted that Wanda Group has inked a highest-level sponsorship deal with the international soccer association on Friday, as disclosed by the world soccer governing body.

According to a report by China Daily, the move will give the company the opportunity to enjoy the highest level of sponsorship rights for 15 years, including the four editions of the FIFA World Cup.

This means that the China-based enterprise, together with the other two still unnamed companies, will be sitting along with the American brands Adidas, Coca Cola, Gazprom, Hyundai Motor, and Visa Inc. as top sponsors of the FIFA World Cup.

In the meantime, Wang pointed out that with the recent economic development in China, Wanda Group has seen the potential of the sport.

"Football is the most popular sport in the world," the business executive stated." This fact will not be affected by the temporary scandals."

The partnership of the property giant from China with the FIFA World Cup is said to be the biggest in the organization's history.
