Veteran champion center Tyson Chandler is reportedly "not interested" in staying with a rebuilding franchise and could request to be traded out of Phoenix next season as the Suns are said to be planning a team revamp this offseason.

"For me, especially where I am in my career, I want to win," Chandler told reporters after the Suns' 95-90 win over the Los Angeles Lakers last Friday, as per RealGM. "I want to win now. I'm not in any kind of rebuilding stage. So if that's the case, it ain't where I'm supposed to be," the 33-year-old veteran All-Star added.

Chandler had just signed a four-year, $52 million deal with Phoenix when he became a free agent last summer that set to earn him around $13 million per year in salaries. It is still a long way before he becomes a free agent again, but it looks like a trade is the only way as of the moment for him to escape the Suns' planned rebuilding process.

Phoenix is officially eliminated from the playoffs this year and is currently donning a 19-51 win-loss slate, second to the last place in the Western Conference standings with only the Lakers worse at 14-55.

Number one player Eric Bledsoe was having a career-year when the season started last October, averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists, and 2.0 steals, all career-highs, in 34.2 minutes per game thru 31 games with Phoenix, until a torn left knee meniscus that required surgery to repair ruled him out for the rest of the season.

It has been a downward spiral for Chandler and the Suns since then and there were a lot of speculations that the team composed mainly of young players will be in for a complete rebuild this summer.

There are no immediate reports whether Phoenix would be keen on trading Chandler this offseason and what are the possible destination teams for the 2012 NBA Defensive Player of the Year if ever.

Chandler is currently averaging 6.5 points, 8.5 boards, and 0.6 blocks, the lowest in his career since his rookie season, as he had only been playing 23.7 minutes a night in 59 games so far for the Suns.

The minutes restriction and occasional missed games are typical for aging veterans in the league and seem to be affecting Chandler's numbers this season.
