The "The Banner Saga 2" release date is scheduled on April 19 that will be available in PC and Mac. The Viking-themed game sequel was initially scheduled to launch in late 2015 but was delayed until this year.

As of the moment, it has been announced via their official Twitter account on Thursday that it's already open for pre-order purchases via Steam with a 10 percent discount from its regular price. Unlike the first game, the The Banner Saga 2 price of $20 is cheaper compared to the original price of $25, reported by PC Gamer.

Meanwhile, game developer Stoic noted that there will be no future price cuts on its release date.

It was also reported that the role-playing game will have the same graphics as with the original and will feature new characters in the story and clans for the gamers to choose from, according to Engadget.

On the other hand, the game sequel will also feature enhanced combating skills, options for their character's race as well as a score by Austin Wintory, who also composed the "Journey."

Aside from new allies, there will be a wider variety of enemies, divergent victory scenes, enhanced story narration and battle arena.

The upcoming game has been revelead that it will continue where the story ended based on the original and the game's sequel outcome will depend on the decision made in the first one.

There are also reports that Xbox One and PS4 versions of The Banner Saga 2 are on development however, there's no official release date has been announced from the company as of the moment, via the reads on Eurogamer.

For those gamers who haven't got their hands on the first title, it is still available for Xbox One users as well as on PS4 and Vita.
