Roku and TCL have noted in the past that they are working together on a Roku TV that supports 4K resolution. The result of this collaboration is the TCL P130, one of the most affordable 4K TV that could easily rival some of the most high-end sets in the market.

The Chinese TV maker TCL announced that along with the TCL P130, it will also release a secondary set of less expensive 4K TVs in the form of the US5800 series. The company disclosed that the main difference between the two series, aside from design cues, is that the 5800 series will come with a standard remote while the P130 will sport an enhanced remote with voice search, remote finder feature and a headphone jack.

Both series of 4K TVs will integrate the Roku platform into the operating system. Tech critics have long applauded Roku's simple interface and wide range of apps for smart TVs. Just like the Roku 4, the new TCL 4K TVs will have access to streaming services which include Amazon Instant, YouTube, Netflix, UltraFlix, Vudu, M-Go and more. There is one catch though, the TCL 4K Roku TVs are not compatible with HDR.

In terms of pricing, the 55-inch US5800 model has a price tag of $599, while the 65-inch model of the same series carries a price tag of $999.

There are four size variants for the P130 series. The 43-inch variant costs $499, the 50-inch variant costs $599, the 55-inch variant costs $699 and the 65-inch variant costs $1099.

TCL representatives told CNet that the two series, P130 and US5800, have no difference in terms of picture quality. The only difference between the two series are the remote and the styling.
