Reigning Italian Serie A champions Juventus FC is reportedly planning a move for Manchester United's young striker Anthony Martial if ever the team's own striker, Spaniard Alvaro Morata, decides to exit Turin this summer.

Metro reported that the four straight Scudetto winners "are interested in sealing the transfer of" the 20-year-old France international because they are "concerned that they will lose Alvaro Morata this summer as Real Madrid consider triggering a buy-back clause" for the 23-year-old Spanish forward.

The report also mentioned that aside from Martial, La Vecchia Signora is also interested in acquiring Uruguayan forward Edinson Cavani from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

But choosing between the two, the Red Devils' goal scorer is said to be Juve's first option as the 29-year-old Cavani is already beginning to move past the prime of his career and would have a lower "sell-on fee" than Martial if ever the team decides to sell the Uruguayan in the future.

However, Caught Offside noted that the probability of Man United selling the Frenchman to Juve or to anyone else is "very low" as club officials believe that Martial's £36 million transfer fee from AS Monaco is well-invested as the team "received more than adequate production from the French starlet in his first year at Old Trafford".

Martial is currently United's second-leading scorer behind legend Wayne Rooney, scoring 12 times in 39 appearances in all competitions for the Red Devils.

Rumors have recently been out that Los Blancos is set to buy back their former striker from Le Zebre for £23.5 million this coming offseason and then re-sell him to English Premier League club Arsenal at a markup of £39.5 million, which is the reason why Juve is early on the alert of possible replacements for Morata.

Juve bought Morata from Real in the summer of 2014 for a fee of £15.7 million. In his two seasons with the Italian champions so far, Morata had scored 25 times in 86 games in all competitions.
