People can watch Perseids on Chinese Valentine’s Day

Aug 13th is Chinese Valentine's Day, and it's the most romantic holiday in China. One of the biggest meteor showers in the north hemisphere, Perseides, will appear at the same day.

Recently, the director of Chongqing Astronomical Education Association gave a class to all citizens about Perseides.

He says the meteor shower happens every 19 years. This Perseids will reach the peak between 2 am and 4 am. We may watch a few meteors in one hour.

He shows precious pictures about meteor shower. He teaches people how to watch meteor shower on Aug 13th.

Deng Fang, a fan of astronomy, says it is so sweet that we can watch meteor shower in a really awesome condition and especially in a romantic day. We can make wishes tons of times in one night.
