Konami released 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' 1.09 patch update this week along with the Survival Mode feature in the game.

The game's "Survival Mode" gameplay can only be accessed through 'Metal Gear Online.' The publisher also noted that, "You can play Survival even if you don't have the Expansion Pack 'Cloaked in Silence', as long as you have a minimum of one Survival Ticket."

"10 (non-stackable) Survival Tickets are distributed during the regularly scheduled maintenance each week. Survival Tickets do not carry over week upon week," the statement said, according to Attack of the Fanboy.

Furthermore, it's going to be a team play where groups of six will be rivals for five matches and whoever wins will have rewards

The 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain' 1.09 patch is available on PS4 with a file size of 33MB, so players do not need to free large space in order to upgrade. Along with the new update, Konami revealed that Ver.1.11 patch notes has already been applied to the game.

On the other hand, the newest patch fixes number of bugs in the system along with other changes. Some of which were claymores' trigger detection, reduced effect to players' actions for their latency and more information here.

Since the "The Cloaked in Silence" development was launched in March, it was revealed that the playable character called Quiet and the new maps can be purchased for $4, while Appeal Packs costs $2. The company also announced that the game sold 6 million copies.

Despite Hideo Kojima's departure from the company, fans are delighted to know that Konami will continue to support 'Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.'
