Verizon has announced that it will give away 2GB of free data when its customers use Android Pay for purchase.

Customers who activate Android Pay on a compatible Verizon phone will be rewarded with 1GB of data access. The other 1GB will be given away when customers use Android Pay at least three times for any type of purchases. Second is that the 2GB of data will be good for two billing cycles.

The offer is good for post-paid Verizon customers on the standard or More Everything plans. The deal is available now until June 14, and the data has to be used by July 13 or it will be lost.

"You can use Android Pay at over 1.5 million locations (and counting…) across the US, everywhere tap-and-pay payments are accepted, including the places you shop and eat every day: Macy's, Peet's Coffee, Subway, Trader Joe's, Walgreens, Whole Foods, and more," Verizon said in a statement.

Android Pay first launched back in September, and works with most major credit cards and debit cards, including those from Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. It even works with some loyalty cards.

It is the Google’s contactless payment system similar to Apple Pay on the iPhone. Users need input their credit card or debit card info into the app, and then they can pay for purchases using their smartphone anywhere Android Pay is accepted.

Android Pay is available on a range of Android phones running KitKat 4.4 and higher. It is fast and easy to use.
