After grossing $750 million in the box office, "Deadpool's" success cannot be stopped, as 20^th Century Fox finally confirmed that "Deadpool 2" is now in the works.

The film company announced last week at CinemaCon that the sequel to "Deadpool" is coming, and that the popular superhero flick has begun its production. Although the announcement did not specify on when is the exact release date of "Deadpool 2," reports suggest that it will likely fall on either October 2017 or January 2018, as 20^th Century Fox previously stated that they will be releasing two Marvel films on the said dates, Comic Book reported.

The announcement made by the studio company came after the original film's director Tim Miller confirmed that he will return, along with his entire creative team. Aside from Miller returning to direct "Deadpool's" sequel, writers Rhette Reese and Paul Wernick are also on board. In addition, Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as the merc with the mouth, plus Cable, who is one of the few X-Men characters that has yet to be seen in movies, will also be featured in "Deadpool 2."

In regards to "Deadpool 2's" plot, no firm information yet was revealed; however, fans are hoping that the next "Deadpool" film could feature a crossover. It is said that fans would want to see Spider Man's appearance in "Deadpool 2," just like what was seen in the comics.

Aside from Spidey, fans would also like the idea of Wolverine appearing to "Deadpool 2." It is said that Wolverine teaming up with Deadpool would be a perfect plot for "Deadpool's" sequel.

Nevertheless, fans would just need to wait in the coming weeks for more "Deadpool 2" updates.
