The source also added: "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor."

The "Shake It Off" singer is the latest music celebrity to be signed on as guest advisor for the NBC competition show's seventh season. Similar to what Coldplay frontman Chris Martin did in the last season, Swift will be assisting the contestants of all four teams and not just focus on a particular judge team.

Aside from Swift, other guest mentors that viewers can expect include, Stevie Nicks for Team Adam Levine, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale for his wife's Team Stefani, Little Big Town for Team Blake Shelton, and Alicia Keys for Team Williams.

The 24-year-old pop star's songs have become favorites of "Voice" contestants. In June of 2013, with the help of then-coach Usher, Swift surprised the audience with her appearance during the competition when she made a visit to the rehearsals of contestant Michelle Chamuel, who was preparing to perform the Swift's hit "I Know You Were Trouble."

The hitmaker gave Chamuel's version of the song, a wholehearted approval.

"That was so emotional. All the vocal runs you picked, it was so amazing," Swift commented. "The way you doubled over with your hair in your face and everything, don't stop doing that."

"The Voice" Season 7 has been slotted to premiere on September 22. Five weeks after, Swift's upcoming fifth studio album "1989" that only features straight-up pop tracks will come out on October 27.
