'God Eater: Resurrection' will be launched digitally on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on June 24 in North America. The game will be released on the PC platform via Steam on August 30.

'God Eater 2: Rage Burst' will be released both digitally and physically for the PlayStation 4 on August 30. The game will be released digitally on the PlayStation Vita platform on the same date.

PlayStation 4 owners who will pre-purchase 'God Eater 2: Rage Burst' will receive a digital download code for 'God Eater: Resurrection.' This pre-order bundle comes with an exclusive set of downloadable contents that include costumes that are inspired by the popular animes 'Tokyo Ghoul' and 'Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization,' and 'Tales of Zestiria.'

In Europe, both 'God Eater: Resurrection' and 'God Eater 2: Rage Burst' will be released on August 30, according to Gematsu. Just like in North America, those who purchase 'God Eater 2: Rage Burst' will receive 'God Eater: Resurrection' as a free download. The games will be simultaneously released on the PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita platforms. The three DLCs, 'Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization,' 'Tales of Zestiria,' and 'Tokyo Ghoul,' will be handed out to European gamers who pre-order the games.

According to Game Rant, 'God Eater' is not the only video game franchise that is cashing in on the increasing popularity of Japanese anime. Square Enix surprised both the anime and gaming community when it announced that it will produce a five-episode anime series based on its upcoming video game title, 'Final Fantasy XV.'
