Before the wedding ceremony, David Tao is said to have picked up his bride in style, riding a white Bentley that followed an entourage of five Rolls-Royce cars which flanked a gold Lamborghini. This elaborate groom entourage was said to have been arranged by Penny Jiang's businessman father.
The bride and the groom then proceeded to the church where they were pronounced man and wife. David Tao shared that he had a rather emotional moment with his in-laws before the wedding and it wasn't a different situation when his father-in-law handed Penny to him during the ceremony.
Said wedding ceremony was purportedly hosted by Taiwanese-American actor David Wu. During the wedding, David Tao's romantic proposal to Penny Jiang in Palawan in the Philippines was shown. David Tao's mother was said to have officiated the marriage.
It was followed by a 55-table reception at a 6-star hotel called the Mandarin Oriental Hotel which is located in Taipei where the 45-year old Taiwanese singer-songwriter reportedly sang 'Marry Me Today' with his bride.
On the other hand, Chang Hsiao Yen, the Taiwanese host, was said to have worn a bow tie in order to represent David Tao's father, Tao Dawei, who passed away. The host delivered a speech to congratulate the newlyweds.
Taiwanese singer Jam Hsiao has also offered the lovebirds a song number, singing 'Love' for them.
Being in high-spirits, David and Penny met the reporters before the wedding dinner where the bride wore a black number designed by international designer Vera Wang.
The couple has revealed that they will be trying to have a child after David finishes off with his concert by the end of the year.
