Huawei to Release G9 Lite and MediaPad M2 7.0 in China This Week; Cheaper Yet Boasts Impressive Specs

Huawei just recently unveiled its new devices - G9 Lite and MediaPad M2 7.0 - to be sold in China.

The new Huawei G9 Lite boasts thinner bezels and sports 5.2 inch 1080p display screen. It runs on two SoC depending on the carrier - one with octa core Kirin 650 16nm SoC and the other with Snapdragon 617. Both version is packed with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top. Unlike its Huawei P9, G9 Lite has one camera, boasting 13Mp rear with an 8MP selfie shooter.

Huawei G9 Lite sports 3GB of RAM backed with 16GB builtin storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD slot. It comes with 3000 mAh battery capacity and supports dual nano Sim cards.

In terms of color variants, Huawei G9 Lite is available in white, gold and black that comes in a significantly cheaper price compared to other Huawei smartphones.

Huawei enthusiasts will be able to purchase the device on sale on May 13, where it will be priced at 1,699 Yuan or US$261.

Meanwhile, Huawei's new tablet, called MediaPad M2 7.0, is equipped with a 7 inch screen that supports 1080p resolution. MediaPad M2 7.0 sports 3GB of RAM, just like the G9 Lite, and packed with 4360 mAh battery capacity. MediaPad M2 7.0 comes in 2 storage variants - one with 16GB version that is priced at $245 or 1,599 Yuan and the other has 32GB internal storage that will sell at $276 or 1,799 Yuan.

MediaPad M2 7.0 will come in white, blue and pink, and will boast 13MP rear camera plus fingerprint sensor for added security.

Both Huawei G9 Lite and MediaPad M2 7.0 will land in China within this week.
