After taking the first two games at home, the defending NBA champions Golden State Warriors head to Portland for Game three of their best-of-seven Western Conference Semifinal series at the Moda Center on Saturday night.

The Warriors, who will still be playing without the league's reigning MVP Stephen Curry, are currently leading the series 2-0 and are eager to extend their advantage and take a commanding three-to-nothing series lead in Game three.

Curry, who was sidelined with a right knee injury, is unlikely to return in Game three. However, he is likely to play in Game four if the Warriors' best point guard keeps making progress.

The Golden State have lost just one game in the playoffs so far when they were edged out by the Houston Rockets 97-96 in the first round. The Warriors have managed to maintain their poise and pride without Curry. They have won four games in a row and are gunning for their fifth since Curry was forced to sit out with an injury.

Klay Thompson and Draymond Green have been doing a pretty good job in leading the league's No.1 regular season team. Thompson has scored a total of 64 points in the last two matches while Green is remarkably impressive with 40 points, 27 rebounds, and 18 assists to go along with seven blocked shots in this series.

The game will be important for the Blazers who do not want to be in a much deeper hole. The Damian Lillard-led team have a history of stepping up after getting knocked down.

"We'll have bounce. We came back after 0-2 against the Clippers (in the opening round) and came with a lot of energy in Game 3. We know how important Game 3 is," Blazers head coach Terry Stotts said. "Having energy, having bounce, at the Moda Center, with our crowd? That's the least of our concerns."
