Guangzhou Evergrande continues to be on top of the league table as they extended their six-game winning streak to seven games after nipping lowly team Hangzhou Greentown FC, 2-1, last Sunday at the Yellow Dragon Sports Center, as reported by CCTV.

The previous game's hero, Brazilian striker Alan Carvalho, scored again in this match at the seventh minute to break the deadlock early off an assist by Guangzhou defender Rong Hao.

Brazilian midfielder Ricardo Goulart, who had been silent in scoring in the past couple of fixtures, then doubled the visitors lead at the 31st again off another Rong assist to make the Southern China Tigers enter the half up by two points.

Hangzhou's Australian forward Tim Cahill finally put a stop to his six-game scoreless rut by netting a consolation goal at the 76th, albeit it resulted in a loss for the Green Giants.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted side Hebei China Fortune pulled off a second straight victory after turning back a tough challenge from fellow contending team Henan Jianye, 4-3, at the Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium on May 6th, as per Soccerway.

Henan opened the scoring right at the fourth minute with an individual goal from local defender Li Xiaoming.

The Samba Kings then scored the next three goals with a double from local striker Dong Xuesheng and one from Ivorian import Gervinho at the 23rd, 31st, and 34th minutes respectively, to finish the first half on top by two, 3-1.

Striker Chen Hao then trimmed the gap with a goal at the 73rd before French winger Gaël Kakuta answered back three minutes later to re-establish the two-point spread, 4-2.

The Red Devils then finished the scoring with an 84th-minute strike from midfielder Yin Hongbo with six minutes left in the game.

The win put Hebei at the fourth spot of the league table, three points behind third-running squad Shanghai SIPG.

The predicted result is a 2-0 win for Guangzhou Evergrande.
