The first trailer for the Assassin's Creed movie premiered on Wednesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! And fans can finally feast their eyes on Michael Fassbender as he runs, jumps and kills as lead assassin.

The film, based on Ubisoft's hit video game franchise, is an original story and isnot based on any of the video game's several titles but the trailer, set to Kanye West's I Am A God, does include elements from the AC universe, such as the Animus and the evil Templar organization Abstergo Industries.

The two-minute trailer also shows Fassbender doing parkour, taking the leap of fath and using the signature Assassins Creed wrist blades as he attempts to take down the Templars.

The film's official plot description is as follows: "Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day."

The film also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, Michael Kenneth Williams, Ariane Labed and Callum Turner. Fassbender also served as a producer on the 20th Century Fox film, which is helmed by director Justin Kurzel from a script penned by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, Scott Frank, and Michael Lesslie.

This isn't the first time Kurzel has directed Fassbender and Cotillard. The trio worked together on the 2015 critically acclaimed film, Macbeth.

Assassins Creed bows out in theaters on Dec. 21.
