Two leading Bollywood actresses Kareena Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor are reportedly set to work together for the first time. The duo will be teaming up for Rhea Kapoor's debut directorial 'Veeray Di Shaadi.'

Earlier there had been speculation another top actress Katrina Kaif has been finalized to play lead role alongside Sonam Kapoor in the movie. However, reports turned out to be false.

"Katrina was never formally offered the film. There were only initial talks but it never materialized," a source told Mumbai-based newspaper DNA. "Rhea wants a powerful team of actresses and she feels Kareena will suit the bill perfectly."

"Kareena has not signed anything post 'Udta Punjab' and this will possibly be her next film. Talks are on and an announcement will be made formally very soon. In all probability, it will indeed be Bebo and Sonam saath-saath," the source added.  

The movie is reportedly an adaptation of Hollywood drama 'The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants.' It also features Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania in important roles.

"Swara Bhaskar plays the third friend. For the character of the fourth girl in the all-girl group, the makers have finalized Tiku Talsania's daughter Shikha Talsania. While Sonam and Bebo play the leads, Swara and Shikha will be the supporting leads," the source further stated.  

Kareena Kapoor, who was last seen in romance drama 'Ki and Ka' opposite Arjun Kapoor, is currently busy promoting of her upcoming movie 'Udta Punjab.' Sonam Kapoor, daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, was last seen in 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' opposite superstar Salman Khan.
