“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn accidentally spilled a major detail about Chris Pratt’s character. Gunn engaged in a brief Q & A sessions with fans on Facebook this weekend, giving them first-hand information about the developments on the sequel.

Gunn revealed that there will be no human sightings in the second "Guardians of the Galaxy" film, dispelling rumors that Deadpool would make a cameo appearance in the film.

"[Deadpool] couldn't, because he's owned by Fox so he cannot show up in a Marvel movie," Gunn explained, as quoted by What Culture. "And also there are no humans in Guardians Volume 2. Basically. Well, no main characters...," Gunn stopped mid-sentence after fearing that he might be saying too much about the highly-secretive production.

This seems to confirm the theory that Peter Quill, played by Pratt, is not human. Somewhere in his system is an alien DNA derived from his father who was described as a mysterious traveller from another world.

In "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" daddy Quill is presumed to be played by Kurt Russell. According to Entertainment Weekly, Gunn tweeted that Russell had completed filming his scenes. Both Gunn and Pratt were emotional about Russell's exit, with Pratt saying Russell is the absolute best.

Another important detail Gunn revealed about "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" is about Groot. By the end of the first movie, Groot was reset back to a sapling after he sacrificed himself to save the others when the damaged Dark Aster lands on Xandar. Groot will start as a baby in the sequel, but he will definitely grow as the movie progress. This will set a different dynamic for the team since they wouldn't be able to rely on Groot's massive strength and powers.

Gunn also revealed a few details about "Avengers: Infinity War." He hinted that he knows how the "Guardians of the Galaxy" team will fit into the "Infinity War" story. Although nothing has been confirmed, it can be said that at least Star Lord will make an appearance.

Zoe Saldana, Dave "Batista" Bautista, Vin Diesel and Bradley Cooper have reprised their original roles in the first movie. Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki and Chris Sullivan will play new characters.
