Adam Levine Pitches Series About His Youth, Posts Bloody Photo With Wife Behati Prinsloo

NBC has recently committed to reading the script of "Kids in America", a single-camera series which revolves around the comedic dramatization of Adam Levine's youth.

The said series "centers on an unconventional family as seen through the eyes of a teenager with the dream of becoming a rock star."

222 Production, the production house of Maroon 5's frontman, will be heading the said project, with writer Aaron Blitzstein penning the script.

Blitzstein is best known for writing for the animated series "Family Guy," but he has also written for shows such as "Late Show With David Letterman","Mad," and "The Riches and Best Week Ever with Paul F. Tompkins".

Whether or not the series will be set in the 1990s - when Levine was still in his teens - is yet to be seen.

This is not Levine's first attempt at pitching a series to NBC, however. The singer-songwriter first pitched a series revolving around his friendship with his best friend and former roommate, Gene Hong. Levine also tried to carry out a series about karaoke singers and a rock and roll drama to no avail.

If "Kids in America" fails to go past scripting, at least Levine continues to be a regular judge on NBC's reality singing contest, "The Voice". He has also made his first film debut in the musical drama "Begin Again" which starred Keira Knightley and Mark Ruffalo.

Levine is also pre-occupied with promoting Maroon 5's newest album, "V", which was released last August 29, and preparing for their upcoming tour in February next year.

Recently, Levine took to social media to post a shirtless, bloody photo of himself with wife Behati Prinsloo, captioning it with "#ANIMALS". Fans believe that the photo is a behind-the-scenes shot for Maroon 5's new music video for their single "Animals".
