Cee Lo Green's Controversial Tweets Lead to Cancellation of 'The Good Life'

Cee Lo Green has been tweeting on Twitter incessantly about rape-related statements. Due to this, his TBS Show entitled  "The Good Life" would no longer be going into a second season.

The first season already ended with just six episodes. The show was about Cee Lo Green making ways to balance everything despite his hectic schedules regarding recording, producing and touring.

The cancellation was due to the tweets of Cee Lo Green regarding a felony count that stemmed back from 2012. He was alleged to have given the date drug Ecstasy to a female in which he pleaded not guilty. This was also the reason that the rapper left 'The Voice'.

A woman claims that she woke up beside Cee Lo Green but could not remember anything. Cee Lo Green's lawyer said that his client and the woman had "consensual relations" at that time.

However, he was still sentenced by Superior Court Judge Mark Young with three years of formal probation. He was also tasked to complete 360 hours of community service.

The 39-year-old rapper's tweets have been deleted since but according to sources, he compared rape to home burglary as if suggesting women can only be raped if they are conscious. He tweeted: "When someone breaks into a home there is broken glass where is your plausible proof that anyone was raped?"

Another tweet from the rapper goes, "People who have really been raped REMEMBER!!!"

Cee Lo Green also posted an apology before deleting his tweets. He said that he only intended to have a healthy exchange of thoughts to help him heal from the pain brought by the situation he got himself into.

He asked for forgiveness, which was addressed to no one, adding that he would never do anything to condone any harm caused against any woman.

Green will be back in court on March 5, 2015 to state a progress report.
