In August 2015, Chinese actor Chen Xiao and Taiwanese Actress Michelle Chen were seen dropping by each other's sets. They were even spotted spending a night in the same hotel.

In October 2015, Chen Xiao asked for Michelle's hand in marriage when they were on vacation in Paris. To make the proposal official, he brought his fiancée to his hometown in Hefei. Michelle also took Chen Xiao to Taiwan to spend the Lunar New Year with her family.
