The Toronto Raptors are reportedly set to bring back Nando de Colo to their side this summer after the French point guard led his current team, CSKA Moscow, to the Euroleague championship this season.

De Colo, who won this year's Euroleague Final Four and regular season MVPs after a stellar season with the Russian ballclub, is said to be the Raptors' bail out option in case shooting guard DeMar DeRozan makes an offseason exit from Canada, Fansided reported.

Speculations abound that DeRozan is looking forward to coming home to California and playing for the Los Angeles Lakers when he becomes a free agent this July and so it is but right for Toronto to prepare themselves from such scenario.

The 28-year-old de Colo is allegedly an option for Raptors general manager Masai Ujiri and the Frenchman will be available as he could opt out of his contract with CSKA and come back to his NBA mother team this year.

The former San Antonio guard averaged a league-leading 19.4 points in the Euroleague with 3.6 boards and 5.0 assists while shooting 52.6 percent from the field playing in 27.7 minutes a night, making him an interesting candidate for any NBA team that needs backcourt depth for that matter.

Meanwhile, SB Nation indicated that the Denver Nuggets are also interested in signing de Colo and could be Toronto's biggest rivals for the 6-foot-5 200-pound combo guard in the summer.

Denver is said to have had "interest in him for sometime and is willing to meet his salary and playing time requirements in order to secure de Colo's return to the NBA", the report mentioned.

During his 2013-2014 stint with Toronto, de Colo only played 21 games and was on the court an average of 9.2 minutes per game, something that he was not satisfied about. In his first two seasons in the NBA with San Antonio, he averaged a little more than 12 minutes per night, which is also unremarkable for an international talent like him.
