Michael Weatherly will be back in "NCIS." The actor, who plays Tony DiNizzo in the show, admitted that season 13 finale will not be the last time viewers get to see his character. Even co-star Sean Murray has echoed the same thing.

When asked whether he will consider taking part in "NCIS" in the future, the actor answered in the positive.

"I would absolutely be open to anything and everything, including things that no one's even thought of yet-so I would say the long answer is yes [to a guest spot in the future]," he said, according to E! News.

The actor added just how much he loved the show.

"I believe in the franchise of NCIS very much and it's why I went and did NCIS L.A. last year and NCIS New Orleans," he said ahead of his exit as a regular of the series. "In fact, last year I did 26 episodes of NCIS-the franchise-which is insane."

Michael Weatherly then went on to narrate just how close the "NCIS" cast and crew are.

"This isn't [an actual] family. These are coworkers. They just are good at their jobs, respect each other, love each other and have each other's back," he added.

The actor is leaving the show after 13 seasons, and with more than 300 episodes under his belt.

Just like Michael Weatherly, co-star Sean Murray is hopeful to see Agent DiNozzo back on set in the future.

Sean Murray even joked to ET Online that everything is possible in "NCIS" to the point that even the deceased come and go.

The actor, who plays Agent Timothy McGee, claims that an Agent DiNozzo cameo is "something that could very well happen." He also affirmed Michael Weatherly's statement regarding the latter's interest to be back on the set of "NCIS" in the future.

"He has talked about [that] and said that he would love to do it," Murray said.
