‘Wayward Pines’ Season 2 Teaser Uploaded By Fox; Trailer Provided Hints for the Upcoming Season [VIDEO]

Good news for the fans of the mystery science fiction television series, "Wayward Pines," as the show is all set and ready to go for a second season, which will premiere next week, May 25. With the premiere date closing in, a trailer was released by the showrunners to tease "Wayward Pines" fans.

The teaser that was uploaded in the YouTube channel of Fox shows a group of children on stage in a pine tree costume. Reports claim that the song that the children are singing on the video pertains to the future of "Wayward Pines."

The teaser did also revealed glimpse of what the fans should expect in the upcoming "Wayward Pines" Season 2.

In fact, the trailer shows Kate Hewson (Carla Gugino) being handcuffed on a hospital bed, and might be subjected to a particular experiment. Another clip also revealed that Dr. Theo Yedlin (Jason Patric) may have found some clues that would lead him to the origin of the Abbies. It also features a scene where CJ Mitchum (Djimon Hounsou) used a flamethrower to get rid of an abbie. The promo did also show Ben Burke (Charlie Tahan) in a field with a lot of abbies.

On the other note, many might have been captured by the plot of the series, as "Wayward Pines" Season 1 finale ended strong. According to reports, the first season of "Wayward Pines" was a success as it acquired a decent number of viewers and got an 86 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The plot was about a strange small town of Wayward Pines in Idaho. Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon) who is a US secret service agent is on an investigation to get answers on the disappearance of his fellow agents in the mysterious town. Ethan found himself in the town and unable to establish communication to the people outside, leaving him trapped there. Later on, Ethan found out that one of his colleagues is dead, and the other who happens to be her ex-lover, Kate Hewson, is alive and living along with the town's inhabitants. The interesting part of the plot is that the settlers of Wayward Pines are not allowed to leave the town, and that they will be executed if they do so. Aside from that, the town is also filled with mutated humans whom they call as the Abbies.

As of the moment, "Wayward Pines" Season 2 is expected to air on Fox on May 25.
