Prince fans seem to have gotten over the death of the singer yet. Recently, there has been a debate about Madonna's recent tribute to the music icon at the Billboard Music Awards. His former girlfriend is also joining in the topic, speaking about the late singer's thoughts about the Material Girl.

Madonna's tribute to Prince during the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday received mixed reviews from fans as well as fellow recording artists. One of Prince's former girlfriends has disclosed what the late singer thought about Madonna before his death.

Madonna got the chance to stage a tribute to Prince because of her close friendship with the late singer. The two have worked together in the past.  However, Prince's former girlfriend, Anna Fantastic revealed on Monday that Madonna's big tribute failed to impress her, according to The Verge.

Anna said that although she refuses to sound like Simon Cowell, she believes that the particular tribute performance was not one of Madonna's best. Nonetheless, she said that the singer had a good iconic performance.  

Fantastic also revealed that she was in the studio at the time when Prince and Madonna recorded the hit single "This Is Not A Love Song," saying that Madonna was thinking of taking the duet further and doing a music video with Prince. However, according to Anna, the idea was shut down by Prince.

Prince former girlfriend went on to say that the late singer liked the song, but did not want a music video. Madonna's break up with her then-husband Sean Penn apparently played a role because she told Prince that she was having a tough time in her personal life. However, this did not convince the late singer.

Prince ex-girlfriend Fantastic also disclosed of that last year Madonna proposed to do a tour with Prince, but the singer rejected the idea, Apple Insider reported.
