The last time entertainment legend Barbra Streisand went to the Tony stage was in 1970. Forty-six years after, on June 12, one of the most iconic celebrities in Hollywood graces the event once again as she joins Oprah Winfrey, Cate Blanchett and Steve Martin in the roster of presenters.

Streisand attended the Tonys in 1970 when she received a Special Tony Award.

Edie Brickell, Carole King, Audra McDonald, Saoirse Ronan, Patina Miller and Nathan Lane are also slated to present the highest honors in stage.

Before Streisand became a movie and music superstar, she was a Broadway performer in the 1960s. In fact, she is one of the only 16 entertainers who have received the four biggest entertainment prizes-the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony honors. To date, Streisand has won two Academy Awards, ten Grammy Awards, five Emmy Awards, and a Special Tony Award. She is also one of the very few celebrities to win the Peabody Awards, snatching four all in all.

Streisand hit Broadway in her show-stopping performance as Miss Marmelstein in the 1962 musical, I Can Get It For You Wholesale, grabbing a Tony nomination for that role. Her most unforgettable stage performance was Fanny Brice in the 1964 show Funny Girl, which earned her a Tony nomination and tied with Katharine Hepburn for best actress in the 1968 Oscars for the film's movie version.

Broadway has remained a key part of Streisand's musical repertoire over the decades, generating The Broadway Album in 1985 and Back to Broadway in 1993. Her third Broadway album, Encore: Movie Partners Sing Broadway, is due out later this year.

After her Tony appearance, Streisand will embark on a nine-city North American tour, starting Aug. 2 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The Tony Awards will air live at New York City's Beacon Theatre to be hosted by James Corden on CBS at 8 p.m. ET/delayed PT. It is expected that Lin-Manuel Miranda's monster hit Hamilton will lead the honor rolls, following its record-setting 16 nominations.
