"Arrow" season 5 cast member Willa Holland recently expressed her thoughts over The CW's decision to get rid of some characters who are also part of DC's "Suicide Squad."
Throughout the last two years, The CW has featured Deadshot or Floyd Lawton. The character was ultimately killed after actor Will Smith signed on to play the same role in the upcoming "Suicide Squad" movie, according to Forbes.

More recently, The CW also decided to kill off Amanda Waller because the character will be portrayed by "How to Get Away With Murder" actress Viola Davis in the upcoming film.
While speaking at the MCM London Comic Con, Willa explained that the deaths and removals of the DC characters from "Arrow" were done by The CW intentionally.
"When DC found out they were going to be doing their own movie we had to axe all of the characters before we even got to show them," she said.
Holland, who plays the role of Thea Queen, added that "Arrow" was supposed to introduce the character Harley Quinn in its upcoming episodes. However, this will no longer become a reality because the same character will be part of "Suicide Squad."
Meanwhile, Holland also expressed her disappointment over DC TV universe and DC films' decision to remain separate from each other.
"Marvel does it in their own weird way. The mash between 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D' and the movies and stuff. So it's a little upsetting because you know it is possible and it can be done and how good it would be if it was done..." she said.
In other news, "Arrow" season 5 has already been confirmed by The CW. When the series returns in the next few months, Team Arrow led by Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) will have one less member following the death of Laurel Lance aka Black Canary (Katie Cassidy).
"Arrow" season 5 will premiere on The CW sometime this year.
