Chinese Super League 2016: Henan Jianye vs Shanghai Shenhua, Preview, Prediction & Predicted Lineup

(Photo : Getty Images) Henan Jianye will clash with Shanghai Shenhua in a 2016 Chinese Super League game on Saturday at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.

Contending squads Henan Jianye FC (5-3-3, 18 points) and Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (4-2-5, 17 points) are set to clash in a 2016 Chinese Super League game on June 11, Saturday at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium.

Henan has been unbeaten in five of their last six outings as they are currently settled at the fifth spot of the China top flight table, three points below Shanghai SIPG for fourth place. The team is also only four points behind third-placed squad Jiangsu Suning, who temporarily holds the third and final AFC Champions League berth for next season.

The Red Devils are coming off a tough 1-0 victory over Guangzhou R&F FC also at their home ground of Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium on May 28 to extend their undefeated run to three games, Xinhuanet reported.

Filipino striker Javier Patiño scored the winning goal of the match for head coach Jia Xiuqun's boys at the 13th minute off an assist from midfielder Mirahmetjan Muzepper.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua braced to a 2-2 draw with fellow contenders Tianjin Teda FC at their home field of Hongkou Football Stadium on May 27, via Soccerway.

Brazilian midfielder Wagner opened the scoring at the 25th for the visitors while former Chelsea standout Demba Ba knotted the count before halftime. Senegalese forward Mbaye Diagne gave the lead again to the Tianjin Tigers at the 52nd before Shanghai's Kim Kee-Hee leveled the count for the final time at the 69th.

It was the fourth consecutive unbeaten performance for manager Gregorio Manzano's side and also their fifth in the last six games, the same as Henan.

Playing at home, the Red Devils are favored to prevail in a close match against the Flower of Shanghai and expect Patiño to once again show his wares on the offensive end.

The predicted result is another 1-0 win for Henan Jianye.
