Hillary Clinton made history on Tuesday after winning the Democratic nomination to represent her party in the upcoming US Presidential elections. Clinton has become the first woman in America to hold the national ticket in a leading political party. According to Clinton, her triumph is a rare achievement in the country. She described her victory as a "milestone."

Clinton thanked her supporters for helping her achieve victory after she failed in her first attempt to win the presidential nomination in 2008.

"Tonight's victory is not about one person. It belongs to generations of women and men who struggled and sacrificed and made this moment possible," Clinton said.

NBC News reported that Clinton complimented her competitor for the Democratic nomination, Bernie Sanders, for running a good campaign. Clinton said she believed she and Sanders would make a strong team in bringing the Democratic Party together. She called for cooperation even though she and Sanders do not necessarily agree in all areas.

Clinton said if the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump wins the elections, he would separate Americans, instead of making them stronger. She criticized Trump for his proposed immigration laws.

Clinton also criticized Trump's comments about the federal judge appointed to take over his University case. Clinton stated Americans should be encouraging each other, not dragging each other down.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump is apparently embroiled in a serious conflict with many high-ranking members of the Republican Party.

Some of these politicians have accused Trump of being a racist, even just after endorsing him to be the Republican presidential nominee, according to The Guardian.
