For a long time, the "Resident Evil" franchise has thrilled fans with zombies and survival-horror action. Gamers were eager for more information about the launch of the Resident Evil game during this Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016.

Capcom announced that the game would be release in this financial year. Among the games the company plans to consider is a complete remake of "Resident Evil 2." Despite the official statement, there has been a delay in the remake of the "Resident Evil 7."

Capcom is working on several releases, something that has left fans confused about which title they should expect out first. Besides these two titles, Vinereport disclosed that the company is also working on a remake of "Resident Evil 5." Other games in development include "Monster Hunter," "Dead Rising," and "Devil May Cry."

Jordan Amaro of Kojima Productions has been hired to work on the design of "Resident Evil 7." Producer of "Resident Evil Revelations," Masachika Kawata has decided to pay homage to the franchise by taking it back to its roots.

A trusted industry advisor revealed last month that "Resident Evil 7" would most likely feature a common path. Shedding more details on Twitter about the topics, Dr. Serkan confirmed that the game would go back to its original form, cleaning the slate while exhibiting the it's hardcore survival-horror roots.

The "Resident Evil" franchise has slowly evolved from its horror genre into a fast-paced action game. According to Gamerant, "Resident Evil 4" was a high mark in this aspect while "Resident Evil 6" only served to attract more criticism. The return of horror is, therefore, a possibility due to the improvement of "Umbrella Corps."
