In their last match, the Samba Kings edged out reeling team Shandong Luneng FC, 2-1, also at their home field of Qinhuangdao Olympic Sports Center Stadium on Sunday, Cri English reported.

Local striker Jiang Ning opened the scoring at the 19th minute off an assist by Ivorian import Gervinho before Shandong forward Yang Xu equalized it at the 37th from a pass by Argentine midfielder Walter Montillo.

Cameroonian winger Stephane M'Bia then scored the winning goal at the 70th coming from a cross by team captain Du Wei to seal the game for Hebei.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua settled to a 1-1 draw with contending squad Henan Jianye FC on the road at the Zhengzhou Hanghai Stadium last Saturday, as per Soccerway.

Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba scored the first goal for Shenhua right at the fifth minute of the match. Filipino forward Javier Patiño leveled the count at the 27th from a pass by Brazilian Ivo as the two teams went scoreless after that.

The tie was Shanghai's second straight as they are currently on a five-game unbeaten run to move to seventh place in the current league table.

The predicted result is another 2-1 decision for Hebei China Fortune.
