Meanwhile, Croatia face Czech Republic while Spain take on Turkey in Friday's two other matches of the tournament at the Stade Geoffroy Guichard and Stade de Nice respectively.

Sweden were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Ireland in their Euro 2016 opener at the Stade de France on Monday. A brilliant Wes Hoolahan strike helped Ireland secure an early lead in the second half, only to be cancelled by Ciaran Clark's own goal in the last 20 minutes of the game.

Sweden manager Erik Hamren expressed disappointment over his side's lackluster performance against Ireland. "The feeling right now is disappointment more than being satisfied with a draw despite coming back [from a losing position]. We have to give 300 percent in the next games if we are going to go through," he said. "It's good that we didn't lose but I'm disappointed that we didn't play at the level we're able to do in the first 50 minutes."

Italy, on the other hand, started their Euro 2016 campaign on a wining note, beating Belgium 2-0 at the Stade de Lyon on Monday with goals coming from Emanuele Giaccherini and Graziano Pelle.
