Speculations abound that Spanish winger Manuel Agudo Durán, more popularly known as Nolito, has decided to join Manchester City's new manager Pep Guardiola at the Etihad this summer as soon as his Euro 2016 stint with the national team is finished.

Tribal Football indicated that the incoming City head coach "have beaten (La Liga champions) Barcelona to the signing of the 29-year-old Spain international" as the Celta Vigo forward "had come to an agreement" with the Citizens at this point in time.

Nolito is currently suited up for the Spain national squad competing in the ongoing 2016 UEFA European Championship, which will culminate on July 10, the 10th day of the English summer transfer window.

Rumors from local Spanish newspapers that the former Barcelona and Benfica winger will transfer to Manchester after the Euro competitions. Since the English window is from July 1 to February 1, then the official move could take place in between those dates.

Meanwhile, Caught Offside mentioned Guardiola's "pulling power" to snag big-name players as he takes over the helm from Manuel Pellegrini this summer.

Other than the Spaniard, Guardiola is said to be targeting Barça goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen, defenders Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Bilbao and John Stones of Everton, midfielders Paul Pogba of Juventus, Ilkay Gundogan of Borussia Dortmund, and Toni Kroos of Real Madrid, and Arsenal striker Theo Walcott.

The report then noted that Nolito has a "better chance" of spending more first team time with City than with his former Catalan club as the latter is already loaded up front with the trio of Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Neymar. For sure, if he chooses to be at the Camp Nou, then he would have to endure a backup role for the big three.

Nolito had just finished his third season with Os Célticos, where he appeared in a total of 103 games in all competitions and has scored 39 goals in the said time span.
