Argentina will take on USA in the first semifinal of the ongoing Copa America Centenario 2016 at NRG Stadium in Houston, TX on Tuesday.

Colombia will face Chile in the second semifinal of the tournament at 8 p.m. ET on June 22, 2016 at Soldiers Field in Chicago.

USA stormed into the semifinals of Copa America Centenario 2016 beating Ecuador 2-1 in their quarterfinal clash at CenturyLink Field in Seattle on Thursday night. Clint Dempsey and Gyasi Zardes scored USA's two goals, while Michael Arroyo grabbed one goal for Ecuador in a closely fought encounter.

USA defender Geoff Cameron gave credit to coach Jurgen Klinsmann for his side's success in the tournament. "He's a big motivator," Cameron said. "I think it's special that with all the people that doubted us and all the people who didn't think we could make it this far, he brought the group together, kind of blocked the negativity and stayed positive on the inside."

Argentina advanced to the semifinals after a 4-1 win against Venezuela in a quarterfinal outing at Foxborough, Massachusetts on Saturday. Star footballer Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain, and Eric Lamela scored Argentina's four goals, while Salomon Rondon grabbed one goal for Venezuela.

"For us to be back in another semi-final of a big tournament like this one is a great achievement for these players," said Messi, who matched Gabriel Batistuta's record as Argentina's all time top goal scorer.

"I'm happy for what it means and it's nice to be next to 'Batigol' (Baistuta), but for me the most important thing is the result," said Messi.
