The impending question that everyone has on their minds has been answered. Why did Kim Kardashian choose the name 'North' for their daughter.

Apparently, Mr. and Mrs. West's friend Anna Wintour thought that the name was 'genius'. Their one-year-old daughter was mocked before because of her name but now at least they were able to shed some light.

And it's not just Anna who came up with the name but also Pharrell Williams. Mrs. West told in an interview with GQ at the Mercer Hotel located in New York City that she remembers how they came up with the name.

She noted that in that hotel, that is where they decided about the name of their daughter. She added that the media and the press started the rumors about naming their baby with 'North' but she and Kanye did not really consider it before.

However, she said that when they were having lunch at the said hotel over a year ago, Pharrell went to their table and exclaimed if they were seriously calling their baby girl with that Name. Kim responded saying that it's just a rumor but Pharrell said that it is indeed the best name.

After that Anna Wintour also came to their table asking the same thing and adding that North was actually a pretty genius name.

Kim said that she and her husband just laughed at the thought but the name got stuck and they finally decided about their baby girl's name.

Love it or hate it folks, the kid is much famous that most of us here. North, almost 15 months now, is already a model in GQ's magazine.

She will also be featured in the April issue of Vogue. Insiders say that North, a.k.a. Nori, was really adorable during the photo shoot and even managed to wet her daddy's pants.
