Henan Shendian Laojiu Stun Shaanxi Xinda Wolves in the 14th Round of Chinese National Basketball League

Current fifth-ranked Henan Shendian Laojiu scored the season's biggest upset after stunning the league leaders Shaanxi Xinda Wolves with a 119-118 overtime victory in the 14th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Wednesday night.

With the win, Henan has improved to an 8-6 win-loss record. They handed the Wolves their first ever defeat in the season after registering an impressive 13 consecutive victories. Shaanxi still holds the top spot in the league's team standings with 13-1 record.

American forward Earl Clark, who used to play for the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA from 2012 to 2013, finished the game with a spectacular performance of 36 huge points and 20 big rebounds to lead Henan to a sweet victory. The 2009 NBA Draft 14th overall pick went 14 for 27 from the field and registered a perfect 5 of 5 from the free-throw line in 48 minutes of playing.

Darius Washington, a University of Memphis Tigers product, also had a remarkable game production of 31 points, six assists and four steals for the winners. Local players YuYang Xue and Yuhan Chen chipped in with 18 points and 17 points respectively.

American reinforcement Tyler Wilkerson paced the Wolves with 36 points and 12 boards with James Mays contributing with 33 points and 15 rebounds. Shaanxi's domestic players XiaoYang Yu had 17 points and Xiang Liqing scored 13 points.

Henan entered the last period trailing by three points, 80-77, but was able to stage a 30-27 fourth-quarter run to force the game into overtime. Shaanxi failed to contain Henan in the extra five minute of the game as they surrendered 12 points to the opposing team while they just scored 11 points.

Henan will be facing the team of the seventh-ranked Hebei Xianglan while Shaanxi will play Luoyang on July 1st.
