Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has officially launched its latest device - the Xiaomi Mi Max - in India for the price of Rs 14,999 (approximately $223.23). The smartphone was unveiled by the Vice President of Xiaomi Hugo Barra at an event in New Delhi last week.

The main highlight of the latest Mi Max smartphone is its massive 6.44-inch display screen and huge 4,850mah capacity battery. The Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone holds the record of being the company's smartphone with the biggest display screen.

The Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone features a mammoth 6.44-inch IPS LCD (1080 x 1920 pixels) protected by a fourth generation Corning Gorilla Glass on the screen panel. The device comes in two variant models - the Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 powered model and the Qualcomm MSM8976 Snapdragon 652 processor-based model.

The Mi Max smartphone is also equipped with 3 GB/4 GB of RAM. The device will come in three storage variants - the 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB model. The storage capacity in all these models is expandable up to a huge 265 GB memory storage via a microSD card slot.

The Xiaomi Mi Max runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out of the box, along with Xiaomi's MIUI 7 user interface. The smartphone is packed with a massive 4,850mah-capacity battery.

The Mi Max sports a huge 16-megapixel main camera with f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama, and HDR support. It also has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0, capable of taking images up to 2160p at 30fps, 1080p at 30fps, and 720p at120fps.

The Xiaomi Mi Max smartphone is currently sale in India for the price of Rs 14,999 (approximately $223.23). It is available in Black, White, and Gold color.
