Rumors have emerged that unnamed Chinese Super League teams are "circling" around Raúl Bobadilla this summer even as the FC Augsburg striker is reportedly being pursued by newly-promoted English Premier League club Hull City AFC.

The Daily Mirror indicated that the 29-year-old Argentina-born Paraguayan is being targeted by the Tigers since the English transfer window opened last week. Hull City head coach Steve Bruce is said to be "considering a move" for Bobadilla as he is "keen to boost Hull's firepower for their return to the Premier League".

The KCOM Stadium residents finished fourth in the Football League Championship, England's second division domestic association football competitions, and have qualified for promotion to the Premier League after winning the four-team playoffs over Brighton & Hove Albion, Derby County, and Sheffield Wednesday.

Bruce noted Hull's lack of goalscoring as the primary reason why the team was demoted in 2015 and so he is aiming to improve his squad's offensive options this summer. He believes that acquiring Bobadilla is one of the solutions to their weakness.

However, getting Bobadilla would not be that easy as the 5-foot-11 Buenos Aires native is rumored to be attracting the interest of several cash-rich China top flight squads, via the Hull Daily Mail.

The report said that CSL teams are "circling should a deal not be clinched" between Hull City and Bobadilla, which is why the English club is trying to expedite the process.

Chinese Super League clubs are investing hard this year to lure top-notch names in European and South American football to move to the Far East as a global football revolution was initiated by the country's president, Xi Jinping, who is an avid fan of the sport himself.

The Chinese transfer window was broken four times just this year with the latest being the €55 million signing of Brazilian winger Hulk from Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg at the end of June. Previously, the record stood at €50 million when Jiangsu Suning acquired another Brazilian, Alex Teixeira, from Ukrainian Premier League side Shakhtar Donetsk in February.
