Henan Shendian Laojiu Crushes Guizhou Senhang in 18th Round of Chinese National Basketball League

Henan Shendian Laojiu continued their winning run after they beat Guizhou Senhang with a lopsided 119-99 victory in the 18th round of the Chinese National Basketball League (NBL) on Friday.

With the win, Henan improved to a 12-6 win-loss record and stretched their winning streak to five games. Henan now sits on the third place of the 14-club team standings with four wins behind top-ranked Anhui and Shaanxi and one game ahead of the fourth-ranked Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos.

According to Asia-Basket, former Los Angeles Lakers forward Earl Clark finish the match with a remarkable production of 36 huge points and 10 rebounds to lead Henan to a sweet victory. The former NBA journeyman went 12 for 16 from the field including seven three-pointers in just 25 minutes of playing time.

Darius Washington, a University of Memphis Tigers product, contributed 20 points for the victors. Domestic players YuXing Yang and Qingfei Min chipped in with 18 points and 13 points respectively for Henan, who will be facing the Orlando Johnson-led Guangxi Weizhuang Rhinos in the next round on Sunday.

Henan outrebounded the opposing team 43-30 and registered a total of 16 assists compared to Guizhou's eight dimes.

Foreign basketball reinforcement Steven Burtt had 31 points and five rebounds for Guizhou, who suffered their third-straight loss in a row. Guizhou would play Luoyang and hope to end their losing skid in the 19th round of the regular season.

According to NowGoal, Henan entered the final period of the match with a comfortable 26-point lead 101-75. Guizhou staged a 24-18 fourth quarter run but it was not enough to steal the game.
