Former NBA Player Manny Harris Scoops Player of the Week Award in Round 18 of the Chinese NBL

Former NBA player Manny Harris of Anhui Wenyi had an outstanding double-double performance, earning him the right to be named Asia-Basket.com NBL Player of the Week in the 18th round of China's professional minor basketball league.

The 26-year-old American basketball reinforcement showed off a very impressive performance by scoring 52 big points and grabbing 10 boards. Harris led Anhui to win against the league's leading club Shaani Xinda Wolves with a 108-99 victory.

Harris, who played for the Los Angeles Lakers in 2014, has turned to be the Chinese club's top player with his very imposing stats this season. The 6-foot-5 tall native of Detroit steered Anhui to a 16-2 win-loss record sharing the No. 1 spot with Shaanxi in the league's team standings.

According to Asia-Basket report, Harris is the NBL's third-best in scoring, having an average of 38.7 points per game.  He is on the top spot in the ranking of the league's best in steals, registering 3.9 steals per contest with a solid 58.0 percent shooting accuracy from the field.

Harris is a former All-Big Ten Conference guard who played three seasons for the NCAA Division I men's basketball team of the University of Michigan Wolverines from 2007 to 2010. During his stint with the Wolverines, the 2014 NBA D-League All-Star played a total of 98 games while averaging 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists per outing.

Although he was not drafted, the Cleveland Cavaliers hired his services from 2010 to 2012, where he appeared for a total of 80 official matches. Harris also played for the teams of Canton Charge, Los Angeles D-Fenders and Texas Legends in the Developmental League of the NBA.

According to the official website of the NBA, Harris also played nine official games for the Los Angeles Lakers in the league's 2013-14 season.  He averaged 8.1 points and 3.8 boards in 20 minutes of playing.
