The second Shanghai derby of the 2016 Chinese Super League season between Shanghai Greenland Shenhua FC (6-4-7, 25 points) and Shanghai SIPG FC (8-3-6, 30 points) is set on July 17, Sunday this time at the Hongkou Football Stadium.

Shenhua and SIPG settled to a 1-1 draw during their first meeting of the season at the Shanghai Stadium last March and it looks like their second match will not have the same outcome with the Red Eagles recently acquiring Hulk from Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg.

The Brazilian striker may not be available in this match, however, as he was injured during his remarkable debut game for the Massive last Sunday when they crushed Henan Jianye, 5-0, at their home field, Shanghai Daily reported.

Hulk opened the scoring at the ninth minute off an assist from local striker Wu Lei, but he was taken out of the game by head coach Sven-Göran Eriksson twelve minutes later after he seemingly pulled his left leg muscle.

Fellow Brazilian Elkeson took over the scoring chores from Hulk with a goal at the 33rd while teammates Wu, Lu Wenjun, and Jean Evrard Kouassi each scored a goal in the second half to complete their five-goal haul.

It is not immediately known how serious Hulk's injury is and whether he could suit up versus Shenhua.

Meanwhile, Shanghai Shenhua was tripped by newly-promoted side Yanbian Funde, 0-2, at the Yanji Nationwide Fitness Centre Stadium last Saturday for their second loss in the last three games, as per Xinhuanet.

Imports Nikola Petkovic and Kim Seung-dae netted the goals for Yanbian while Shenhua was shutout by the hosts' defense in the whole match.

The Flower of Shanghai is now at the fifth spot of the league table while SIPG remained at third place.

The predicted result is a 3-1 victory for Shanghai SIPG whether Hulk plays or not.
