Chinese computer and smartphone manufacturer Lenovo has announced that its latest device - the Lenovo Vibe K4 Note Wooden Edition - is now available in India. The smartphone is being sold exclusively via Amazon India for the price of Rs. 11,499 (around $171.60).

The Vibe K4 Note Wooden Edition is made out of a wooden casing, but not wood. The back panel of the device is furnished with a wooden skin.  Lenovo announced during a press statement that it has sold out more than 750,000 units of the Vibe K4 Note in India.

Earlier this year, the company was selling the Vibe K4 Note smartphone bundled with the Ant VR virtual reality headset priced at Rs. 13,299 (approximately $198.46).

The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note features a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS display screen with a pixel density of 401ppi and is protected by a third generation Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor paired with 3GB of DDR3 RAM onboard.

The Vibe K4 Note runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box along with a light-version of the company's Vibe user interface on top. It comes with a built-in 16 GB internal memory storage, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. It is backed by a 3300 mAh capacity battery with fast charging technology.

The Vibe K4 Note sports a 13-megapixel main camera with f/2.2 aperture, PDAF autofocus, and dual-tone LED flash. The front-facing camera comes with a 5-megapixel for selfies and video calls.

The main highlight of the device is a feature called the "TheaterMax," which can convert regular multimedia files to immersive VR content. The device supports Lenovo Virtual Reality (VR) technology that gives users a virtual large screen cinematic experience.

The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note smartphone measures 9.1-mm thick and weighs 158 grams. The smartphone supports dual-SIM, dual-4G.
